RIDE-TO-REMEMBER X – TOUR OF WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS – 10th ANNIVERSARY RIDE – HONORING SPRINGFIELD OFFICER KEVIN AMBROSE, WESTFIELD OFFICER JOSE TORRES & CAPITOL POLICE OFFICER BILLY EVANS

On Saturday September 3, 2022 the Springfield “Ride-to-Remember” will be welcoming all bicycle riders to join members of the Law Enforcement, Firefighter, Corrections Officer and EMT community for the Tenth Annual Ride-To-Remember charity bicycle ride that traditionally goes from Springfield to Boston, MA. This year we are doing things a little different and exciting!

The Ride-to-Remember X will begin and end at the Irish Cultural Center/West Springfield Pavilion located at 429 Morgan Rd., West Springfield. The 50 mile ride will begin promptly at 9:00 am after a brief ceremony honoring Fallen Officers, Springfield Officer Kevin Ambrose, Westfield Officer Jose Torres and Capitol Police Officer Billy Evans. We will be escorted by Police Officers on motorcycles through 10 Western MA cities and towns. The list includes West Springfield, Springfield, Longmeadow, East Longmeadow, Wilbraham, Ludlow, Hadley, Granby, South Hadley and Holyoke.

There will be three rest stops on this 50 Mile route. The first will be at Hillcrest Park Cemetery where we pay tribute to Fallen Officer Kevin Ambrose. The second rest stop will be at Vanished Valley Brewery in Ludlow, MA where we will have lunch and rehydrate. The third rest stop will be at Heritage Park in Holyoke, across the street from Holyoke PD to honor Fallen Officer Dinapoli.

The cost of the ride is $100.00. You get so much on this ride: rider support, three amazing rest stops, lunch, afterparty that includes live entertainment, cookout with family and friends, beer from the best brewery in New England (Vanished Valley), rider escort and swag!

The Primary Purpose for the R2R is to bring awareness to all the fallen police officers and firefighters in the State of Massachusetts.
The secondary purpose for the R2R is raising money for both the firefighter and police officer memorials along with Christina’s House (a homeless shelter for women with children in Springfield), On-Site Academy for Police Officers and Firefighters with Post Traumatic Stress and other local charities.

The ride begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022. The riders stay together across the WMASS, 50 miles round trip. The riders are escorted by police motorcycles from all over New England. Once you clip-in you don’t clip-out till you reach one of the THREE amazing, well stocked with food and volunteer rest stops.
Rider support includes bike repair specialists from Competitive Edge Bike Shop, doctors from Baystate Medical Center, EMT’s from AMR and a boatload of volunteers from beginning to end.

THIS 10 ANNIVERSARY RIDE WILL BE EPIC. WE ARE HONORING THREE FALLEN HEROES. SPRINGFIELD OFFICER KEVIN AMBROSE AND WESTFIELD OFFICER JOSE TORRES (BOTH WILL BE HONORED FOR THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THEIR END-OF-WATCH. WE WILL ALSO BE HONORING CAPITOL OFFICER WILLIAM EVANS.
